School Staff Activities during Covid-19

Due to the COVID-19 situation and the extended period of school closure, some of our employees especially the teaching staff have been staying at home for some time. Not by choice, but by circumstances beyond their control.

Most private schools have resorted to suspend their staff or reduced their payments to the very minimum they could afford as no income is generated whatsoever. Kimbilio Schools have the advantage that we are receiving most of the school fees from donors as most of our pupils & students are orphaned and sponsored by sponsors from Europe.

This month our teaching staff have decided that there are some areas where the organization can use some extra helping hands. Rather than using other workers to keep the school premises clean and organized, they have taken up the task of keeping the school clean and do some of the compound cleaning which is usually done by other workers who can now join the building crew.

This Corona lock-down of schools could well take up until next February and it is difficult to just sit still at home while we can make ourselves useful here at the school.

We are so much appreciating our development partners in Europe for their continuous financial support. May God bless you for your good deeds.
