P7 Final Exams 2018
Having blessed our Candidates the other week, here comes the reality about primary Leaving Examinations(PLE) in progress.
This year’s PLE ,began on 5th and ended on 6th/ November and lasted for two days doing only four papers: Mathematics, English, Science and Social Studies.
This time we had a total of twenty candidates. The children were very excited to sit for this kind of exam being their first time since one studies for seven years before doing it.
Like last year, this time we also received three invigilators from the ministry who were sent to supervise and also make sure there no malpractice during examination period and together with Head Teacher Racheal Alota critically checking the finished papers. During examination time, all other classes are always enclosed to avoid noise that can disorganize the candidates’ performance, as one of the requirements from the Uganda National Examination Board.
On the other hand, what else happens is that there is thorough checking of candidates, the required spacing in the examination hall, one candidate to check examination envelop if it is not opened and after the paper has been finished, to make sure it is sealed properly.
Before and after examination, the candidates held a prayer session asking God for wisdom and understanding, giving thanks to the author of every thing to always remember them as they wait to receive their results by February 2019.
While I was interviewing the candidates after their final paper, they said they expect to pass even though Mathematics and Social studies were very challenging subjects.
Now their way forward is that, they want to go to their villages and help some of their guardians as they look around for their pocket money, at least visiting some relatives, also getting ready for High school by doing research on some of the secondary subjects.
Finally they conclude by saying all the glory to God for enabling them finish this primary journey. They also appreciated their sponsors, teachers, parents, who all encouraged them to achieve this.
