The CAPE3 subject is one of the subjects on our primary education syllabus in Uganda, which is taught from primary four to primary six class. The abbreviation CAPE3 stands for Creative Art and Physical Education. In our school, the children enjoy it so much that if their teacher has delayed a bit for the lesson, the children themselves go and collect her. Their teacher Madam Nyirira Florence says they have CAPE3 once a week and for two periods ( one and a half a hour) on every Thursday from 14:40pm-15:20Pm. This subject is concerned with the making of hand craft items like table clothes using nailed frames and threads, weaving of baskets, among others. While at school, they are taught in groups. This subject is real in the way that it gives children life-skill practical which can earn them a living besides looking for jobs.
